Southmoor Pre-school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Our setting will work with children, parents and the community to ensure the rights and safety of children and to give them the very best start in life. Our safeguarding policy is based on the three key commitments of the Pre-school Learning Alliance Safeguarding Children Policy.

Concerns

Should you have any concerns relating to the safety and welfare of a child at the pre-school you should immediately contact the Designated Safeguarding Lead or in their absence a member of the safeguarding team as listed.

You can also contact Oxfordshire MASH team (Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub) on 0345 050 7666.

Should you have any concerns in terms of safeguarding relating to the behaviour of a member of staff, you should immediately contact the designated person as above. If the allegation concerns these individuals, you should contact the Deputy Safeguarding Lead or the Safeguarding representative for committee. Should you feel that your concerns have not been dealt with appropriately by the pre-school or committee you should contact LADO (Local Authority Designated Officer) Jo Lloyd, on 01865 815956 as soon as possible within 24 hours.
